The Tech Pioneer Who Saw the AI Problem Before Anyone Else

The Revelation That Started It All

As someone who homeschooled four children for 15 years, I've always believed in teaching skills that transform thinking. We studied Latin and Greek—not because my kids would speak these ancient languages, but because different languages teach different ways of thinking.

When I heard about my son's AI conversations, I realized something profound: AI systems are like languages too. Each one structures thought differently. And our children? They're learning these "languages" unconsciously, without guidance, without critical framework.

That's when I knew I had to act.

The Birth of Digital Socrates™

Where Athenian wisdom meets artificial intelligence

Drawing on decades of experience in both technology and education, I created the six week AI literacy course. But this isn't just another "AI Literacy" program.

This is about teaching children to think critically about any form of intelligence they encounter—artificial or otherwise.

The name "Digital Socrates™" reflects our core belief: the ancient art of questioning is more relevant now than ever. Socrates taught that wisdom begins with knowing what you don't know. In an age of instant AI answers, this principle becomes revolutionary.

Our Mission to transform relationships with AI

Having helped bring the internet to families in the '90s, I've witnessed firsthand how transformative technologies shape entire generations. But this time feels different. More urgent.

As both a technology veteran and experienced educator, I occupy a unique position: I understand the technology deeply, but I also know how children learn and develop wisdom over time.

What Makes My Approach Different

Technology Expertise Meets Educational Wisdom

Having helped pioneer internet accessibility, I understand how AI systems actually work—not just their marketing promises. This technical knowledge, combined with 15 years of homeschooling experience, creates an approach that's both technically accurate and pedagogically sound.

Language-Based Learning

Just as studying Latin changes how you think in English, learning to "speak AI" changes how you process all information. We teach children to recognize the "grammar" of different AI systems and think critically about their outputs.

Family-Centered Philosophy

Technology companies design for individual users. I design for families. Our methods strengthen parent-child relationships while building digital wisdom together.

Beyond the Curriculum: A Movement

Digital Socrates™ isn't just our company—it's a movement of parents who believe our children deserve better than passive consumption of AI-generated content.

We're the families who:

Ask follow-up questions instead of accepting first answers
Teach our children to verify AI outputs before trusting them
Use technology intentionally rather than letting it use us
Believe that ancient wisdom can guide us through modern challenges

My Personal Promise to You

As a mother who has guided four children from curiosity to critical thinking, and as a technologist who has seen both the promise and perils of digital transformation, I make you this promise:

Every resource, every lesson, every technique I share comes from real experience—both raising thoughtful humans and building transformative technology.

I'm not just teaching theory. I'm sharing what actually works.

The Future We're Building Together

Imagine a generation that approaches AI with wisdom rather than blind trust. Children who ask better questions, think more deeply, and use technology as a tool for learning rather than a substitute for thinking.

This isn't just possible—it's happening right now in thousands of families worldwide.

The question isn't whether AI will shape our children's thinking. It already is. The question is whether we'll guide that process with intention and wisdom.
